Crime and Tourism....

Does crime in Jamaica have any impacts on the tourism industry? If so, what are they? Do you think that crime in recent months has caused a decrease in the number of visitors to the island?

Yes Melisha I think crime does impact on the tourist industry.Impacts, such as the amount of visitors that we receive because I believe that a lot if people if they feel threatened then they are less likely to visit or re-visit the island. It is possible that recent crimes for example the Dudus incident has caused a decrease in the number of visitors to the island.
